Q: Which SIM-only networks have no price rises?

Spusu (frozen to 2027), Lyca Mobile (frozen for 2026 on pay monthly plans), SMARTY, Tesco Mobile (Clubcard Price deals), and Rewild (12 and 24-month plans). The big four, EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, have historically applied annual rises on fixed contracts.

Q: Is SIM-only worth it?

If you already have a phone you’re happy with, yes. Even unlimited plans run £12.42–£22/month on the networks above; an equivalent pay-monthly contract with a handset typically costs £35–£50+.

Q: What’s the best network for coverage?

EE is the UK’s largest network by customers and RootMetrics’ top-rated network overall. MVNOs on EE’s network, Spusu and Lyca, give you that coverage at a lower price.

Q: Can I keep my number when switching?

Q: What’s the difference between a 30-day rolling and a 12-month contract?

A 30-day rolling plan has no long-term commitment where you can leave with one month’s notice. A 12-month contract is often cheaper per month but locks you in, and price rises can apply mid-contract on the major networks.

Three SIM – Best cheap big main network Sim

Good entry-level pricing with 5G and roaming in over 160 destinations included on all but its cheapest Lite plans. They run on their own Three network, being cheaper than main competitors like O2, Vodafone and EE. However they are more expensive than MVNOs and you need to watch for mid-contract price rises on fixed-term plans. Three SIM deals

ID-Mobile’s pricing on unlimited data SIMs starts at just £14 on a 1-month rolling contract. They run on Three’s network, with various contract lengths and include free roaming to 50 destinations. Offering strong value for heavy data users. Check ID-Mobile deals

Rewild SIM – Top fixed-price unlimited SIM

Rewild pricing is competitive with ID-mobile but Rewild offers unlimited SIMs and give 25% of net profit toward rewilding nature. They offer unlimited sims for 1, 12 and 24-month contracts for just £14 per month, with the price fixed on 12 and 24-month plans. Their separate Travel SIM sells data in 200+ countries. Three – Fastest network SIM only

Three is rated as the fastest 5G network in 2025 with competitive pricing on unlimited data from just £12.42 per month. They also have a 4.6 star rating on Trustpilot, as well as free Wi-Fi on the London underground. Check Three SIM deals

Best SIM-only deals with no price rises

EE, O2, Vodafone and Three have all historically applied annual price rises in March and April, typically being £1 to £2.50 per month extra. However, some providers don’t have mid contract price rises.

These networks currently don’t do that:

All of these include free EU roaming at no extra cost. Rewild doesn’t: it charges £2.95 for each day you use its everyday SIM in the EU, and its 200+ countries are on a separate, paid Travel SIM. iD Mobile goes furthest: 50 destinations on every plan, including destinations most networks charge extra for.

Best for price: Spusu or Mozillion both run on EE’s network with no contract and no price rises. Spusu is cheaper but Mozillion has more plan options.

Best for unlimited data: ID-Mobile or Rewild both offer unlimited data for just £14 per month with no mid contract price rises (on Rewild’s 12 and 24-month plans).

Best for coverage: Any EE-based MVNO (Spusu, Lyca) gives you EE’s 99%+ 4G coverage. Three directly or MVNOs like ID-Mobile and Smarty cover 99% of the UK population on 4G.

Best for customer service: Both Talkmobile and Tesco mobile scored over 80% in Which?’s satisfaction survey beating big name competitors like EE, Three and Vodafone.

Best for travel: ID-mobile wins with roaming in 50 destinations included on every plan, with up to 30GB to use. Rewild has further reach, 200+ countries, but on its separate, paid Travel SIM.
