Vodafone broadband review

Vodafone is one of the biggest network providers in the UK, offering a variety of broadband and fibre deals. Read our in-depth review to see if it's the right pick for broadband in your area.

Vodafone is best for
Price-conscious shoppers looking for full fibre
You should think twice if
You want a flexible contract or you value a good complaints record

MoneyHQ Verdict

We think Vodafone is worth considering if price is a priority and its full-fibre packages are available at your address. It can offer competitive deals with high speeds, but a 24-month commitment and scheduled annual price increases might take the shine off the initial price.

It's also worth noting that Vodafone has recorded more complaints to Ofcom than the industry average at the start of 2026, though this did fall from the previous quarter. This is just one measure of the overall customer experience though, so you should consider it alongside Vodafone's pricing, speeds, contract terms and what else is available at your location.

Vodafone Broadband Pros

  • Competitive pricing on full-fibre
  • Choice of speeds for different household needs
  • Future monthly price changes are shown before you sign up

Vodafone Broadband Cons

  • Most deals come with a 24-month contract
  • Monthly price rises on 1 April each year
  • 2026 Q1 Ofcom complaint rate was above industry average

Vodafone broadband packages generally come in 24-month contracts only, with price increases set from the 1st of April each year. However, you won't usually face any setup costs.

How much will Vodafone broadband prices rise?

Vodafone, like most broadband providers, may increase your monthly price during the minimum term, so it's worth looking at both the starting price and the scheduled price rises before signing up.

For example:

  • Starting monthly price£18 a month
  • Price from 1 April 2027£21.50 a month
  • Price from 1 April 2028£25 a month

Since January 2025, broadband and telecom providers offering contracts with specified in-contract price rises must tell customers those rises upfront in pounds and pence rather than using an inflation-linked formula.

That makes the increase easier to understand, but it can still make a meaningful difference to the overall cost of a long contract.

What will the contract actually cost?

The easiest way to compare broadband deals is to look at what you are likely to pay across the whole minimum term, not just the introductory monthly price.

For example, if your starting price is £25 per month from 1st October 2026, and your monthly price after 1st April 2027 is £28.50, and £32 after 1st April 2028, your headline price might be £600 over the two years. But your true cost over the full contract term will be around £684, an £84 difference.

What broadband speeds does Vodafone offer?

Vodafone offers different broadband speeds depending on the network available where you live, and its range runs from lower-speed packages at around 35Mbps up to 2.2Gbps on full-fibre connections.

An advertised broadband speed is an average rather than a guarantee - the speed available to your own home can depend on your connection type, location and network conditions. Full fibre, also known as fibre to the premises or FTTP, uses fibre-optic cable all the way to the property, while older part-fibre connections use fibre for most of the route but retain copper for the final section.

This can matter as much as the headline package name, so enter your postcode and current provider to see which Vodafone services are available at your address.

Which Vodafone speed do I need?

The right speed for your household depends on how many people and devices share your connection as well as what you use it for. Rather than automatically choosing the fastest package, it's always good to compare available packages against how your household actually uses broadband.

How good is Vodafone's customer support?

Vodafone's customer service track record is fairly mixed, with an Excellent Trustpilot score and positive feedback in Which?'s 2026 Broadband Survey, but an above average complaints record according to Ofcom.

In Which?'s 2026 broadband survey, Vodafone received a customer score of 67%, placing it fifth out of 12 providers. Which? said its research found Vodafone customers were fairly positive about the service they received.

Ofcom's Q1 2026 complaints data shows that Vodafone generated 8 broadband complaints per 100,000 customers, compared with an industry average of 6. However, that was an improvement from 11 complaints per 100,000 in the previous quarter.

Vodafone UK's Trustpilot score is more positive, with an Excellent 4.7 out of 5 score from more than 142,000 reviews at the time we checked. However, this profile covers Vodafone's mobile services and retail stores as well as broadband, and Vodafone actively invites customers to leave reviews.

How can I contact Vodafone customer service?

Vodafone offers several ways to get help, including online chat, the My Vodafone app and phone support.

  • Online chat: You can use TOBi, Vodafone's digital assistant, which is available 24/7. If TOBi can't resolve your issue, it can connect you with an adviser
  • My Vodafone app: If you're a home broadband customer, you can message Vodafone through its app for issues such as Wi-Fi troubleshooting, router support and general enquiries
  • By phone: You can also call 191 free from a Vodafone mobile or 0333 304 0191 from another phone
  • Broadband support: Vodafone also has dedicated online troubleshooting for connection, router, Wi-Fi, installation and setup problems
  • Complaints: If your issue can't be resolved through normal support, Vodafone accepts complaints by phone, online form or post. Its complaints phone lines are open Monday to Friday from 8am to 10pm and weekends from 8am to 8pm

Who is Vodafone broadband best for?

Vodafone could be a good fit if its packages compare well at your address and you're happy to commit for the minimum term, often 24 months. However, it won't be perfect for everyone, so it's always good to see what options are available and pick the one that suits you best.

Vodafone may suit you if:

  • You're focused on price: Vodafone can be competitive against other providers on our panel, especially for full-fibre packages - but you should always compare the most recent deals at your address to see who offers the best price on our panel
  • You want full fibre: Where Vodafone full fibre is available, you may be able to choose from several speed tiers depending on your household's needs
  • You are comfortable with a longer contract: Most of Vodafone broadband deals currently offer a 24-month minimum term

You may want to compare alternatives if:

  • You want more flexibility: A two-year minimum term won't suit everyone, particularly if you expect your circumstances to change
  • Complaint records matter heavily to you: Vodafone was above the broadband industry average for complaints to Ofcom in Q1 2026, although its rate had improved from the previous quarter
  • Another provider offers a better deal locally: Broadband pricing and availability vary by address - Vodafone may be good value in one area while another provider offers the better combination of price, speed and contract terms elsewhere

Trustpilot covers mobiles, shops and other services as well as broadband. The Ofcom industry average was 6 complaints per 100,000 broadband customers. Prices and speeds are the cheapest package we can see on our panel today, and change with your address.

Vodafone vs BT

Vodafone and BT both offer a range of broadband speeds, so the better-value option will depend on what is available at your address. Vodafone's cheapest available deal is currently £18 a month for 50Mbps, compared with £23.99 a month for 150Mbps from BT.

Their recent Ofcom complaints records are also very similar - Vodafone received 8 complaints per 100,000 broadband customers in Q1 2026 and BT received 7. Ofcom considers BT and Vodafone's Q1 2026 results statistically comparable.

Vodafone vs Sky

Vodafone's cheapest available package is currently £18 a month for 50Mbps, while Sky starts from £22 a month for 150Mbps, although the deals and speeds you can get will depend on your address.

Sky had the stronger recent Ofcom complaints result, with 5 complaints per 100,000 broadband customers in Q1 2026 compared with Vodafone's 8. If you're choosing between them, compare their live prices and speeds before thinking about the wider packages each provider offers.

Vodafone vs Plusnet

The best choice between Vodafone and Plusnet is likely to come down to the deal available where you live. Vodafone currently offers 50Mbps for £18 a month, compared with 74Mbps for £20.99 a month from Plusnet.

Plusnet performed better in Ofcom's Q1 2026 complaints data, with 4 complaints per 100,000 broadband customers compared with Vodafone's 8. So if you're particularly concerned about complaint records, you might want to factor that into your decision.

How we reviewed Vodafone broadband

MoneyHQ's Vodafone review is based on current package information from its broadband comparison panel, Vodafone's published product information and independent Ofcom data. MoneyHQ currently compares broadband deals from 33 suppliers, but does not cover the whole market.

We have not carried out our own Vodafone broadband speed tests, router testing or customer satisfaction survey, and we do not currently collect Vodafone customer reviews. That means our verdict focuses on the information we can independently assess, including:

  • Current prices and package data
  • Scheduled future prices
  • Advertised speeds
  • Minimum contract terms
  • Provider terms and conditions
  • Independent Ofcom complaints data

Frequently asked questions about Vodafone broadband

How long is a Vodafone broadband contract?

What happens when my Vodafone broadband contract ends?

When your Vodafone broadband contract ends, you'll be moved onto a rolling monthly plan charged at your standard monthly rate. You'll be able to change or cancel your plan without an early termination fee, and you won't lose internet access.

Is Vodafone full fibre available at my address?

Vodafone full-fibre availability depends on where you live - use the address checker above to see which Vodafone broadband packages and speeds are available at your property.

Does Vodafone increase broadband prices during the contract?

Vodafone's current broadband contracts include scheduled annual price increases. When you compare broadband deals with MoneyHQ, these will be shown before you take out a deal, including the increase in pounds and pence. Always look at the future-price information shown with each MoneyHQ deal so you know how your monthly cost might change during the minimum term.

Is Vodafone better than BT, Sky or Plusnet?

There isn't one provider that will be best for every address - Vodafone may compare well on price or speed, while other providers may perform better on different measures. For example, Sky and Plusnet both recorded fewer complaints to Ofcom than Vodafone in Q1 2026.
