Zen Internet is one of the UK’s most highly rated broadband providers for customer service, consistently topping Which? surveys and holding Recommended Provider status for six years running. It costs more than the big four, but it’s one of the few providers that guarantees your monthly price won’t rise during your contract.

Zen Internet is the standout choice if customer service and price stability matter to you. It topped the Which? broadband survey for the second year running in 2026 with an 84% customer score which is the highest of any nationally available provider and its Contract Price Promise means the price you sign up at is the price you pay for the full term, no annual rise.

The trade-off is cost. Zen typically charges more per month than BT, Sky or Vodafone, and its packages are broadband only with no TV, no bundled mobile. But for households that have been stung by mid-contract price rises elsewhere, the stability often makes the premium worth it.

Zen is best for: Households that want reliable full fibre and a guaranteed monthly price with no surprises.

Will Zen Internet put its prices up?

Zen stands out from most providers with its Contract Price Promise, which guarantees your monthly price stays the same for the length of your contract. There are no annual April rises, so what you pay when you sign up, is what you will pay in the entirety of your contract.

Most major providers like BT, EE, TalkTalk, Vodafone build annual price rises into their contracts. Since January 2025, Ofcom requires those rises to be shown in pounds and pence upfront rather than as a percentage, which makes them easier to spot. But they still apply, often adding £3-£4 per month, once a year to your bill.

With Zen, the price shown when you sign up is the price you pay until your contract ends.

What broadband speeds does Zen offer?

Zen offers full fibre (FTTP) broadband across both Openreach and CityFibre networks, with speeds ranging from around 31Mbps via part fibre, up to 2Gbps on the fastest tier where coverage allows.

Full fibre uses fibre-optic cable all the way to your property. Part-fibre uses fibre for most of the route but copper for the final section, which limits the top speed and can be more affected by network congestion.

Zen topped the Which? broadband survey in 2026 with an 84% customer score which is the highest of any nationally available provider and its second year at number one. It has held Which? Recommended Provider status for six consecutive years.

On Trustpilot, Zen scores 4.3/5 (Excellent) from more than 18,000 reviews, verified 31 October 2026.

Zen does not appear in Ofcom’s quarterly complaints data, which only covers providers above a certain market share threshold. While that means there’s no published complaints rate to quote, it also reflects the fact that Zen operates at a smaller scale than the big four and its Which? and Trustpilot scores suggest the experience is strong.

Who is Zen Internet best for?

Zen may suit you if:

• You’ve had mid-contract price rises with other providers and want to avoid them
• Customer service ratings matter to you and you’re willing to pay for a better experience
• You want full fibre with speeds from 100Mbps up to 2Gbps where available
• You’re a home worker or small business that can’t afford unreliable broadband

You may want to compare alternatives if:

• You want the lowest possible monthly price with providers like Plusnet or Now Broadband will typically come in cheaper
• You need a TV bundle or want to combine broadband with mobile
• Zen’s full fibre isn’t yet available at your address

How does Zen compare with other providers?

Zen vs Plusnet Both are well regarded on customer service, but Zen leads significantly on Which? score with 84% against Plusnet’s 71%. The key difference is price stability: Zen’s Contract Price Promise means no annual rise, while Plusnet builds in an April increase each year.

Plusnet however is likely to work out cheaper over the course of the contract.

Zen vs Sky Sky scored 62% in the 2026 Which? survey against Zen’s 84% and includes annual price rises. Sky’s main advantage is its TV bundle, if you want broadband and TV together, Sky is worth comparing. For broadband only, Zen has the stronger customer satisfaction record by a wide margin but comes with a higher headline price.

Zen vs Vodafone Vodafone generated 8 complaints per 100,000 broadband customers in Ofcom’s Q1 2026 data which is above the industry average of 6. Zen’s Which? score of 84% sits well above Vodafone’s 67%. Vodafone may offer more competitive headline pricing at some addresses; Zen offers more consistent customer experience and no mid-contract rises.
